As you can see I am dealing with the normal computer personal use that most people want.


My wife uses her computer to keep and store recipes, and knitting instructions. She also loves to play solitaire on the PC. When she has the time, she will do research on the local library website, looking for books that interest her. She has used the computer to shop for necessities and gifts, using search engines and online stores. See how the 101 Computer Uses impact all walks of life.

My grandchildren, the ones in elementary school, are avid game players; so much so that their parents have to limit their time playing games on the computer. They also use the computer to improve their academic skills by downloading math tutorials and study guides. The older grandchildren, the teenagers, are enthusiastic users of social networking, as well as educational programs. This is an example of kids computer use, can you think of any other computer uses for school?


My son-in-law travels extensively throughout the country and in order to keep in touch with his family he uses video conferencing almost every day. Of course his online computer use is also for business applications as well as sending and receiving e-mails.


My son enjoys taking pictures and videos. One of the things he uses his Mac for, is to edit and maintain his photo albums. When he has the time he will spend hours editing his videos and turning them into a complete professional presentation.




These are some of the personal applications that are available to the everyday user. There are so many more that one can take advantage of.
